Why Become a Member?
Membership is ideal for experienced potters and students looking for somewhere to practice their potting in the company of other potters.
If you haven’t done a course with us, a brief orientation session maybe required so you can find you way around.
Membership allows you to use the studio at a variety of times during the day, weeknights and weekends. Other benefits include:
- Substantial discount on courses
- Access to firing at only $18 per kilo for clay we provide or $16 if you purchase your own clay from Made in Clay, as well as a discount on supplies and equipment
- Members can purchase guest passes and hire the studio for private functions with family and friends
- Opportunity to participate in various markets under the Made in Clay banner so you don’t need to worry about insurance, eftpos of gazebos etc, we supply is all.
Membership Fee
Membership Fees comprise both a Fixed Membership fee and a variable pay as you go Studio Access component, plus a partially refundable Fob Fee. In exceptional circumstances such as serious illness, The Fixed Membership fee component maybe extended on application, however we are unable to offer any extension or suspension for holidays.
As of February 2026, Membership Fees etc are as follows. NB Existing members who wish to renew their annual membership prior to 01 February 2026 can do so prior to the 2026 price rise (which is still less than it was pre Covid)
Annual Membership $600 pa.
Half year Membership $400
Quarterly Membership fee $300

plus $50 for fob ($30 refundable)

Studio Access includes designated clay and glazes, free tea, coffee biscuits etc
$15/hour
$25/2 hours

Capped at $45 four hours plus per visit.
